ADULT STRIKING

AGES 15+

Our Adult Striking Program is centred primarily around Muay Thai, with complementary striking fundamentals drawn from other disciplines where appropriate. Training focuses on developing effective striking technique using punches, kicks, knees, and elbows, while building balance, coordination, and conditioning.

Muay Thai is a traditional Thai martial art and internationally recognised combat sport known as the “art of eight limbs.” It uses punches, kicks, knees, and elbows, along with clinch control, making it a highly effective and complete striking system. Muay Thai emphasises balance, timing, conditioning, and mental toughness rather than brute strength.

Training in Muay Thai develops striking technique, fitness, and self-discipline while reinforcing respect, control, and composure. Sessions typically include pad work, drills, conditioning, and technical practice, all taught progressively and safely. Muay Thai is suitable for beginners and experienced athletes alike, offering benefits for fitness, confidence, self-defence, and competition.

Classes are structured and beginner-friendly, starting with fundamental stance, movement, and pad work before progressing to more advanced combinations and drills. Safety, control, and correct technique are prioritised at all times, with contact introduced gradually and only when appropriate. Whether training for fitness, self-defence, or skill development, the program provides a challenging and supportive environment.

COMPETITION PATHWAYS

Competition is optional and available to members who wish to pursue it as part of their training journey. Our program provides a clear, structured pathway for athletes interested in competing, with progression based on skill level, consistency, and readiness rather than experience alone.
