ADULT JUDO
AGES 15+
Judo is a Japanese martial art and Olympic sport that focuses on balance, timing, and technique rather than strength or size. It teaches practitioners how to control an opponent using throws, pins, and groundwork, while emphasising safety, respect, and efficient movement. A core principle of Judo is using leverage and positioning to overcome resistance, making it accessible to people of all ages and abilities.
Our Judo program is beginner-friendly and welcoming to those with no prior martial arts experience. Classes start with fundamental movements, breakfalls, and basic techniques to ensure safety and confidence from day one. Training is progressive, structured, and fully supervised, allowing beginners to learn at a comfortable pace while building skill, fitness, and confidence over time.
Our Adult Judo program is built on a culture of respect, discipline, and technical excellence. Training emphasises control, safety, and proper etiquette, creating an environment where beginners and experienced judoka can train together confidently. Classes are structured and purposeful, with a strong focus on correct technique, balance, and learning how to train hard while looking after training partners

Competition is optional and available to members who wish to pursue it. We provide structured preparation, rule-set education, and coaching support for local, state, and national Judo competitions.
